On Friday, Manchester United and Fulham will play in the Premier League as it returns.

The Red Devils were 8th in the standings the previous season and had not qualified for European football until they defeated Manchester City in the FA Cup final to secure their spot in the Europa League.                                                    Erik ten Hag, the manager, appeared to have saved his job after that victory, and he has subsequently inked a new contract with United.

This summer, the Manchester team added Joshua Zirkzee, Leny Yoro, Matthijs de Ligt, and Noussair Mazraoui to their roster.

However, it now appears that one of his most seasoned players has been ordered to look for a new team.

Football Insider reports that because Christian Eriksen is no longer an essential member of Ten Hag’s team, United has told him to find a new home.

Eriksen’s status at Old Trafford is still unknown.

Since the seasoned central midfielder is nearing the end of his deal with the team, he is free to sign a pre-contract with any international team in January.

After his contract with Brentford, a team in the Premier League, expired, Eriksen, 32, signed with the Red Devils in the summer of 2022.

The Dane had previously moved to Italy to join Inter Milan after having a great stint with Tottenham Hotspur.

The midfielder has appeared in almost 70 games for United in all competitions, recording 13 assists and three goals.

The Danish international made 28 appearances in the last campaign, though he did not feature as a substitute during United’s Community Shield loss to Manchester City on Saturday.

Clubs in Saudi Arabia and Turkey are reportedly keeping a close eye on Eriksen, who is reportedly closer to leaving Old Trafford before the transfer window closes at the end of the month.
