It is possible that Arsenal will be without six players against PSV due to a potential disciplinary threat from UEFA.

In the Champions League match that will take place this week between Arsenal and PSV Eindhoven, Arsenal will be missing a number of players.

Tomorrow evening, the Gunners will play the Eredivisie giants in the first leg of their last-16 encounter. The match will take place on Tuesday. As Arsenal prepares to play their return match at the Emirates Stadium the following week, they will go to Eindhoven in the hopes of gaining a lead over their opponent.

Throughout the course of the season, Mikel Arteta has been presented with the challenge of coping with a number of key players who have been sidelined due to injury. This week, when Arsenal takes on PSV, the situation will be virtually identical. The Champions League match that will take place in the middle of the week is anticipated to be cancelled for as many as five first-team players.

Both Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka are continuing their recovery from hamstring ailments that have been present for a long time. Over the course of December, Saka underwent a successful surgical procedure, whereas Martinelli has been sidelined since the beginning of February.

There is a high probability that Arteta will be questioned about the pair’s recuperation prior to the match against PSV. It is anticipated that neither of the two players will be able to participate in the match. In the meantime, Kai Havertz (hamstring), Gabriel Jesus (ACL), and Takehiro Tomiyasu (knee) have all been ruled out for the remainder of the season due to their various ailments.

After being shown a red card during the match against West Ham a month ago, Myes Lewis-Skelly was unable to participate in the Premier League match against Nottingham Forest, which ended in a tie. Lewis-Skelly was given a one-match suspension, which was only served in the Premier League, because the sending off occurred in the top division of the game and because he prevented a goal-scoring opportunity from being taken advantage of.

As a consequence of this, Lewis-Skelly will be making himself available to Arteta for Arsenal’s Champions League match against PSV. In the match that took place at the City Ground the previous week, Riccardo Calafiori started behind the left back position instead of the 18-year-old.

Another player for Arsenal is in danger of receiving a suspension in the Champions League. This player is currently playing for Arsenal. As of this moment, Raheem Sterling has been shown two yellow cards during the competition. If he were to receive a third yellow card, he would be suspended for one match during the campaign.

In the event that a player receives three bookings that do not result in a red card, they are subject to a one-match ban. The barrier for this punishment is not lifted until the conclusion of the quarterfinal round within the competition.

As a consequence of this, Sterling will be hoping that he does not receive a yellow card during either of the two legs against PSV and the prospect of a draw in the last eight. Martinelli, who is also on two yellow cards, is not likely to play in either of the two games against Eindhoven.
