The amount of prize money that Judd Trump has won in a single snooker season is greater than what Ronnie O’Sullivan has previously won.

Rocket Ronnie’s previous record total of £1,265,500 was surpassed after his victory over Ding Junhui in their Masters quarter-final on Friday afternoon. This victory validated the record and proved that it had been broken. Two of Trump’s three victories this season were in significant tournaments, including the Shanghai Masters, where he won a staggering sum of money of £210,000, Saudi Arabia, where he won £500,000, and the United Kingdom Championship, where he won £250,000.

Trump laughed when he was asked about his views regarding the fact that he had posted the most lucrative season in the history of snooker. “Don’t tell everyone here!”

“It’s two pints for everyone!” he laughed as the interviewer Rob Walker reminded him that he owes everyone at Ally Pally a beer. “It’s definitely a beer for everyone!”

According to Trump, “Thank you to everyone for their support.” The statement “I feel like I’m only playing at 5/10 of how I can play” was followed by the foreboding statement, “I’m so privileged to be doing what I’m doing.”When Trump was asked if he would spend his newly obtained wealth on a flashy new car, he responded by saying, “I think I want a Yacht next!” Jimmy White, a studio guest and snooker great, quickly gave him the thumbs up. Trump replied that he would spend his newly acquired earnings on a yacht.

In spite of being trailing 3-1 at the break, the world No. 1 was able to pull off a remarkable comeback victory and advance to the semifinals of the competition.

After the break in play, he came back with a different animal, posting 97 and 125 breaks to storm back and win the match by a combined score of 6-3.

Over the course of the final three frames of the match, Ding was unable to plant a single ball, which allowed Trump to score a dominant victory.
