After Man City’s most recent setback, Phil Foden gives a scathing conclusion regarding the title battle.

Phil Foden has stated that it would be “stupid” to believe that Manchester City is still in the running for the championship. He has made this assertion.

It is to Foden’s credit that he was honest enough to admit that City is currently facing a struggle to maintain their position in the top four and to qualify for the Champions League tournament. Manchester City has had a difficult season, as evidenced by the fact that they are currently languishing in sixth place, 12 points behind Liverpool, who are currently in first place. Additionally, the four-time winners have been through that experience.

“What about the title?” Foden, who is an outstanding player for England, observed. Unquestionably, without a shadow of a doubt, it is finished, it is finished. This is a fact. Neither are we naive in any manner. Since achieving a spot in the top four is the next target, it is of the utmost importance that we work hard to attain this goal. The Champions League is the next objective, of course. The season appears to be continuing well, at least according to appearances.

However, we must not forget to keep our feet firmly planted in the actual world, don’t we? Overall, the performances have not been up to the standards that are required of them that have been set for them. Our first objective is to secure a spot in the top four, and once that is accomplished, we will have a look at the other rewards that are available to us. It is not possible for us to linger on it. Putting everything back in its proper place and making an attempt to get into the top four is something that we need to do at this time.

Despite the fact that Foden scored two goals at Brentford, which demonstrated that he is beginning to return to the form that he displayed during the previous season, City ultimately ended up drawing 2-2 after giving up a 2-0 lead with only eight minutes remaining in overtime. It seems inconceivable that an event like that could have occurred during the period in which City was functioning at their finest level.

But that very much sums up a peculiar season in which they have not found any form or consistency, and now the struggle is on for Pep Guardiola to get them into the top four or win one of the other trophies because they are still aiming to win the FA Cup and the Champions League. That is a strange season.

Furthermore, Foden was honest enough to admit that this season has been a steep learning curve, and that they can learn a great lot from it to make themselves more powerful the following year. He said this in a straightforward manner. In his statement, Foden said, “If I’m being completely honest with you, I believe that this season has been the most educational for me.”

I have never before been in a situation where I have lost this many games and been in this problem. You claimed that I have never been in such a situation before. I can honestly say that I have never been in a situation like this before. Consequently, there is a learning curve, and it is of the utmost importance that you figure out how to return to your previous level of performance, not just for the sake of myself but also for the sake of the entire team. What are our plans for getting back on our feet after this?

To tell you the truth, I are still of the opinion that we are capable of achieving remarkable things. In the team, I have faith, and I will continue to have faith in them. It is about getting back on the training pitch and having the mentality that you can keep going and not give up after you have been unsuccessful.

We have been the best team over the course of the past few seasons, and everytime we play against an opponent, we are able to see how much they are prepared to compete. This is something that we are able to monitor. Additionally, we need to make an attempt to match or possibly even surpass it, and at the moment, we are falling a little bit short of what we need to be in order to be successful.

“I believe that this has been the challenge this year, how everyone adjusts to have our playing style, and that has made it really difficult,” she added. “So, I believe that has been the challenge.” It’s one of the things that I’ve learnt over the course of my experiences. Despite the fact that we do not own the most strong team, we are unable to provide any explanations for our actions.

As a result of our consistent participation in the majority of events throughout the year, we have never encountered any challenges in the past. This has become second nature to us. You need to get your bearings and take another look at the scenario because there is always the next game right around the corner. You absolutely cannot afford to miss it. Consequently, it is something that needs to be prioritised for improvement. In spite of this, there are indications that the performances are becoming better.
