The specifics of Lewis Hamilton’s first Ferrari test have been ‘leaked’ in advance of the official pre-season testing for the year 2025.
This is the first time that information regarding Lewis Hamilton’s maiden test session as a Ferrari driver has been made public.
In February of 2024, Hamilton signed a “multi-year contract” with Ferrari, which allowed him to begin his employment with the team at the beginning of 2025.
During the current season, the seven-time world champion will be collaborating with Charles Leclerc in an effort to achieve a record-breaking eighth world championship. If he were to achieve this goal, he would surpass the legendary Ferrari driver Michael Schumacher.
During the pre-season testing that will take place in Bahrain within the next month, Hamilton will officially represent Ferrari for the first time. However, Ferrari has committed to a schedule that will allow the British driver to test out multiple versions of their vehicles in privately-organized sessions prior to that occurrence.
This testing will be completed in accordance with the laws that govern the Testing of Previous Cars in Formula One. These regulations permit teams to do a maximum of one thousand km of testing each calendar year employing drivers who will compete in the future season.”Lewis arriving at/leaving the track, Lewis addressing fans through the track fence, the huge crowd expected in Maranello, traffic jams, signage, fan reaction to the testing and anything that tells a story.”
It is not entirely obvious how the logistics of the session will be carried out, if Ferrari will be capturing footage to publish to their social media platforms, or the number of supporters who will be permitted to enter the venue to see Hamilton drive for the first time in a Scuderia car when he makes his debut.
As for Hamilton, he has not yet made a public statement regarding his decision since it became official on January 1. However, he has responded to a number of Ferrari messages on social media and changed his profile photo to a picture from his karting days, in which he was wearing a red helmet.
The first time that Hamilton will test for the team was anticipated to take place “in late January,” and additional information regarding his initial assignment has been disclosed.
The facts of Lewis Hamilton’s first appearance as a Ferrari driver have been revealed by Kym Illman, who is a certified F1 photographer and has a YouTube channel that has more than 390,000 subscribers.
According to him, the forty-year-old driver is going to get behind the wheel of a Scuderia car at the Fiorano test circuit in Maranello, which is owned by the team.
According to the weather forecast, the examination will take place on either Monday, January 20, or Tuesday, January 21, respectively.
Illman also claims that there will be a “huge crowd” present surrounding the circuit. He wrote the following to fans on Instagram: “Lewis Hamilton will get behind the wheel of a Ferrari F1 car at the team’s Fiorano test track in Maranello.”
“I will be preparing a film for YouTube about it, and I will be searching for some vision that is of a really high quality.
