This is because Belichick will try to keep the best players in the state. On the other hand, Faizon Brandon, a five-star quarterback who is ranked first in both North Carolina and the country, has already verbally committed to the Tennessee Volunteers. Anna Adams of 247Sports questioned Brandon about his thoughts on the decision made by the Tar Heels shortly after the recruiting process was finalized and the hire was made official. Brandon expressed his admiration for the move for UNC in a manner that was courteous, but he stated that it did not affect his recruitment in any way.
