This comes as drivers are getting ready to meet on Friday to discuss the incident that occurred between the Dutchman and Lando Norris during the United States Grand Prix.

Thursday’s media day, which took place in advance of this weekend’s Mexico City Grand Prix, was dominated by discussion regarding the lap-52 incident that occurred in the race that took place in the United States last Sunday. This incident resulted in Norris receiving a time penalty that led to him losing his podium position for passing his title rival Verstappen during a late-race battle for third place.

Following this, McLaren has initiated a challenge to the decision through the right of review in an effort to overturn it. The initial hearing is scheduled to take place at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez on Friday at 9.30 p.m., United Kingdom time.

He also suggested that his former title rival’s strategy for defending position should not be permitted.

In his words, “It’s always been a grey area,” Hamilton said. Why has he been able to get away with it for such a long time?
