Jack Bytel, Josh Eyre, and Nathan Kreuger have been advised by Collingwood that they would not be awarded contracts with the Club for the year 2025.

Through the Supplementary Selection Period (SSP) that was held by the Australian Football League in February of this year, Bytel and Eyre were elevated to the senior list of the Pies.

After spending the previous five years on the St. Kilda list, Bytel made his debut with Collingwood in Round Nine of this year, when they were defeated by the West Coast Eagles by a score of 66 points. He went on to play seven games at the Australian Football League level.

Eyre, who was chosen from Collingwood’s VFL side, has not yet made his debut in the Australian Football League (AFL), and he has continued to spend time with the second-tier program throughout this year.

After spending the 2021 AFL Trade Period in Geelong, Kreuger made his way to Collingwood during that time.

Since making his debut with Collingwood in Round Two 2022, the unlucky player, who is now 25 years old, has played in a total of thirteen games at the Australian Football League level.

According to Justin Leppitsch, who is the Head of Football Strategy, Innovation, and List Management at Collingwood, “Decision-making at this time of the year is always difficult, and we thank each of the players for their contribution to our Club.”

While Jack and Josh were only with us for a brief length of time, they contributed significantly to the success of both our VFL and AFL programs, and we are grateful to them for their commitment.

It is worthy of praise that Nathan has been able to not only recover from a number of injuries but also maintain his dedication to both his football career and this program.

We would like to extend our best wishes to each and every player on behalf of the entire Club, and we hope that they will continue to strive to realize their full potential in the sport of football.
