As part of the four changes that will be made to the Collingwood Pies lineup for their Week Six match against Richmond, Collingwood Captain Bri Davey will be making her comeback to the pitch this coming Saturday.

During the game that her team played against the West Coast Eagles in Week 4A a fortnight ago, the captain sustained a concussion, which caused her to miss the games that were played against the Western Bulldogs and the Gold Coast SUNS.

The inclusion of the 29-year-old player, who will be a welcome addition to the side that will compete on Saturday, will be accompanied by the inclusion of Lauren Butler, Amber Schutte, and Imogen Evans for the match against the Tigers.

There have been soft tissue ailments that have plagued Butler throughout the preseason and the first half of 2024. Butler will play her first game in 349 days when she has recovered from these injuries.

The gamer, who is 44 years old, is already a prodigiously excellent player on both sides of her body, and she will add class everywhere she goes.

Following his concussion sustained during the Week 4B game against the Bulldogs, Schutte is already back in action.

The 18-year-old player, who has already participated in four games during her first year in black and white, will be looking to continue to build on her outstanding start to life in the Australian Football League Women.

Evans is making her return to the Pies’ lineup after suffering a hamstring injury that forced her to miss the previous five games. The injury occurred after the Pies’ Week One match against the Sydney Swans.

Grace Campbell, who is managed, Charlotte Blair, who is injured, Jordan Ivey, and Sarah Ingram, who are both no longer required to be top-up players, are the four players that were removed from the team that played on Friday.

As a result of their victory over the SUNS on the previous Friday, the Pies are now looking to win consecutive games for the first time this season. This is the first time they have ever won consecutive games.

While Tarni White kicked two key goals from the midfield, Vice-Captain Brittany Bonnici was a source of encouragement on the day. Bonnici made 28 disposals in her first game back from a calf injury, while White was also a strong contributor.

Live coverage of the game will be provided by Kayo Sports and Fox Footy respectively.

The initial bounce is slated to take place at 3:05 p.m., Australian Eastern Standard Time.
