Hujlund comeback and Ugarte debut”, Predicted Man United XI vs Southampton – as Ten Hag Vows to restore lost glory

Manchester United return to Premier League action against Southampton a week from today.

Manchester United will look to get their season back on track when they face Southampton in the Premier League next weekend.

Erik ten Hag’s club has had a rough start to the season, but the return of Luke Shaw and Rasmus Hojlund from injuries may provide a welcome boost following the international break.

Manuel Ugarte will also be in contention for a debut after improving his match fitness with Uruguay, despite the fact that he has yet to play club football this season and has only trained with his new teammates a few times.

It is probable that Ten Hag may keep Casemiro in midfield despite his dismal performance against Liverpool last time out, which would surprise many fans.

Here’s how we think United will line up, with a return to a 4-2-2-2 formation on the cards:

1. Keeper: Andre Onana.

4. Noussair Mazraoui — RB Mazraoui has had a promising start at Old Trafford and deserves more opportunities.

5. LB: Diogo Dalot.

6. CDM: Casemiro Despite Casemiro’s poor confidence, it’s unlikely that Manuel Ugarte will be immediately replaced.

7. CDM Kobbie Mainoo.
He is another player that has to improve, but Mainoo’s current struggles are most likely the result of his need for rest.

8. CAM: Amad Diallo.
Amad has impressed with every performance this season and deserves to start, even as an offensive midfielder.

9. CAM – Bruno Fernandes Fernandes remains the driving force behind the United team, and he wants to improve their performance on the pitch.

10. ST: Rasmus Hojlund.
Hojlund is the squad’s only senior natural striker and, if fit, should start up front.

11. ST: Marcus Rashford
Rashford was undoubtedly United’s finest offensive player against Liverpool, and it would be interesting to see him up front as part of a two-pronged approach.
