Калі справа даходзіць да ўзрушэнняў, якім з’яўляецца розыгрыш Кубка Балгарыі, пазіцыя ЦСКА
As a result of the manner in which the draw for the semi-finals of the Bulgarian Cup was carried out by the Professional Football League (PFL), the Bulgarian Football Union (BFU), and the broadcast partner Diema Sport, CSKA has expressed its utter and complete displeasure and surprise.
The reason for the draw being broadcast on national television only a few minutes after the teams that were going to compete in the semi-finals were announced is not entirely known.
The draw for these semi-finals, on the other hand, was conducted without the presence of any club officials. This is a normal practice that is followed by every European football organisation, and it serves to confirm the draw, as well as ensuring that the results are legitimate and trustworthy.
It is customary for a draw of this nature to take place during working hours, with the attendance of representatives from the clubs, the organisers of the Bulgarian Football League, the Bulgarian Football Union, members of the media, the sponsors of the competition, and other visitors. The same thing that has occurred a great number of times in the Bulgarian Cup tournament throughout the years, and it has also occurred in this particular edition.
Furthermore, not even an official representative of the Bulgarian Football Union, which is the organisation that is responsible for organising the Bulgarian Cup event, was present at the draw, which is something that cannot help but inspire even the tiniest amount of confusion.
It has been determined that CSKA does not have any problems to the opponent that was drawn in this makeshift draw, which is the Black Sea team. In order to advocate for the right to compete in the Bulgarian Cup final with any club in the country, CSKA is prepared to take the pitch and engage in a football match that is fair.
What is unacceptable, however, is the irresponsible attitude and “non-standard” methods that were used in the draw for the Bulgarian Cup. These actions are a statement of disdain for the clubs that are playing in the tournament, the players and coaches, and the hundreds of thousands of football fans who are located all across the nation.
Because CSKA is the most successful team in Bulgaria and a symbol of the country’s football, it is impossible for the club to stay unaffected by actions of this nature. When it comes to the development of professional sports, we have always been committed to upholding the principles of fighting spirit, transparency, and fair play. These principles are very important. Because of the way in which this draw was conducted, the trust that people have in the football institutions in Bulgaria is damaged, and it also generates unwarranted concerns and suspicions that the game was played unfairly.
In the presence of representatives from the organisers of the Bulgarian Football League (PFL), the Bulgarian Football Union, and the clubs that qualified for this phase of the competition, CSKA urges that this draw be held once more. This draw must be held in complete compliance with the laws that govern the operation of such events.
CSKA is making a request to the Bulgarian Football Union, which is the organisation that is responsible for organising the tournament and the draw, to make every effort to ensure that the draw is conducted in a manner that leaves absolutely no room for dispute in terms of the legality and fairness of this draw, and that this event becomes a benchmark for conducting drawings of this kind. We are of the opinion that the football organisations in Bulgaria owe this to the clubs and the players who play for them, as well as to the millions of fans who are responsible for the existence of football in our country.
The CSKA is a club that has a long and illustrious history, established traditions, and millions of fans who anticipate that we will fight for their best interests. As a result of them, we are demanding that the organisation of Bulgarian football adhere to the highest possible standards and maintain a certain level of professionalism.
Not even CSKA!
